Motivation

An app that displays Apple Music status on Discord Rich Presence. Similar apps existed before, but there was none that could read and display information from AirPlay devices like HomePod and Apple TV on the same network. As a HomePod user, I really wanted to implement this feature.

Learned

Swift and Python integration, experience bundling/signing/notarizing Python runtime in macOS apps
Accumulated macOS app development experience with SwiftUI
Understanding of IPC with Python daemon, build/deployment pipeline
