The app
A macOS app that shows Apple Music playback in Discord, including playback from HomePod and Apple TV on the same network.
- Connected a SwiftUI interface to Python playback handling.
- Bundled the Python runtime and packages, and documented signing and distribution.
- Used pyatv for device information and pypresence for Discord integration.

Motivation
The app displays Apple Music status through Discord Rich Presence. Similar apps existed, but none could read and display information from AirPlay devices like HomePod and Apple TV on the same network. As a HomePod user, I really wanted this feature.
What I learned
- Experience integrating Swift and Python and bundling, signing, and notarizing the Python runtime in macOS apps
- Gained experience developing macOS apps with SwiftUI
- Learned how IPC with a Python daemon and the build/deployment pipeline work
